Based out of São Paulo, Brazil, REPUBLICA is a rock band that has always produced genuine and organic sounds, combining powerful riffs, modern grooves and unique melodic lines. The band is Leo Beling (vocals), LF Vieira (guitars), Marco Vieira (bass), Jorge Marinhas (guitars) and Mike Maeda (drums).

With the first two albums, “Republica” (Eldorado) and “There’s No Electronic Modern Loop” (Deckdisk), the group became a constant presence in the media and in major Brazilian music festivals.

But it was in 2012, with the release of the third album, “Point Of No Return” (Wikimetal), produced by three times Latin Grammy Award winner, Luis Paulo Serafim, that the history of the band has become more relevant and professional. From then on, the internationalization of REPUBLICA’s work began, and they were invited to participate in the 2013 Brazilian editions of Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio festivals. This record would still yield many other accomplishments for the band. Rolling Stone Brasil magazine chose the single “Change My Way” as the best Heavy Rock song of 2013, and one of the best of the year overall and the album “Point Of No Return” received 4 out of 5 stars in the magazine review. Three singles from this album had a lot of radio airplay in the main rock radios in Brazil. Two music clips were produced to promote the record PONR, “Life Goes On” and “El Diablo”, and both were launched worldwide by VEVO.

These achievements led to a tour of Brazil and Argentina in May 2015, with Adrenaline Mob (USA) and Noturnall (BR). In the same year, REPUBLICA was invited to participate for the second consecutive time in Rock in Rio. The “Point of No Return” tour was quite intense and featured over 70 shows, including opening acts for Megadeth, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Sepultura and Angra and culminated as REPUBLICA being the co-headliner in the first Rolling Stone Festival in December 2016. In 2017, Republica did its first European tour supporting Scorpions and Alice Cooper in Sweden, Belgium and France. In Paris they played the iconic lÓlympia and it was one of the best shows ever in their career. In 2018, the band toured with the supergroup Sons of Apollo in Brazil and will be going to Europe once again, this time to play at the Son do Caminõ Festival, in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, along side with The Killers and Franz Ferdinand on June 28th, 2018.

With an intense drive to solidify the band as an international act and to take their sound to the next level, REPUBLICA has just recorded their fourth career album with one of the world’s biggest music producers in the industry, MATT WALLACE, which was responsible for lots of successful albums by bands like Faith No More, Maroon 5, Deftones, REM, 3 Doors Down, Train and many others.

The band “moved” to Los Angeles to work with Matt on the new album, which was recorded at the SOUND CITY CENTER, where several classic rock albums were produced. The new album, called “Brutal & Beautiful” has 11 tracks and this body of work made it possible for the band to sign its first international label contract, with Odyssey Music Network, based out of Berlin, Germany.
